I ordinarily just like to ignore the slander against me often repeated by MRAs that I am OK with “innocent men being falsely imprisoned for rape” or some such formulation.
I figure though that since this accusation against me is still being repeated and since new people will be exposed to this accusation without having any knowledge about where this accusation came from that I should myself explain the background of this accusation against me “for the record.”
The below was originally written as a comment at Feminine Mystique (blog since deleted) shortly after January 27, 2013 in response to this issue coming up at that time.

It is this comment that I made that is the basis of the charge against me that I have no objection to men being imprisoned for rapes they did not commit. This comment has a wider context in that it was part of an extended debate at The Thinking Housewife about something that Paul Elam of A Voice for Men said.
Paul Elam declared:
“Should I be called to sit on a jury for a rape trial, I vow publicly to vote not guilty, even in the face of overwhelming evidence that the charges are true.”

So the full context is that there was a call coming from Paul Elam for jurors to vote not guilty in rape cases regardless of the evidence in order to protest against false rape accusations. My statement was against this call to acquit rape defendants indiscriminately. As part of my argument that people should not vote to acquit rape defendants indiscriminately I said what I said above.
I stand by my previous statements in this regard. I believe that prosecution against rape defendants should continue even though inevitably some men will end up falsely imprisoned for rape. Since the justice system is not perfect some innocent people will always be imprisoned for crimes they didn’t commit. That is no reason to stop the prosecution of all crimes. It is the same for rape; rape prosecutions should continue even though such prosecutions will inevitably lead to some men being falsely imprisoned for rape. On a philosophical basis some men being falsely imprisoned for rape is simply the price that must be paid to protect women as a whole from being raped. This is because imprisoning anyone for rape carries the risk that the person found guilty is actually innocent. The only way to guarantee that no man is in prison for rape unjustly is to set all men in prison for rape free.
Anyways this is the background of the accusation against me that Fidelbogen is repeating. I stand by my previous statements in this regard.”

What liberal society doesn’t seem to understand is that rape is often a direct consequence of women being allowed to lead a particular kind of lifestyle. I have spoken to quite a few women who have been raped in night clubs whilst under the influence or by men who they have gone off alone with. If women were more heavily sheltered the occurrence of rape and rape accusations would be much less common. Granted it would still happen in a society but not as much. The only threat in a patriarchal society tends to be the occasional case of incestuous rape and I believe the law should have a protocol for dealing with this and protecting women and children when it does happen, however, acquaintance or stranger rape tends to happen because women in our society are allowed to behave in ways which put them at risk. It is perfectly acceptable where I live for a woman to go into a club and get drunk, take drugs and dance with men she doesn’t even know. It is also acceptable for a woman to go somewhere alone with a male acquaintance. This is incredibly dangerous and puts the woman at serious risk. It is the responsibility of men to step up and to tell women that they are not allowed to do these things and to put up boundaries between men and women in the community who are not married and are not part of the same family.
Why can’t men control themselves? Why are women expected to look after feral men? Men shouldn’t rape. End!
I love your comment Hannahhd I’ve read a few of your comments lately on this site and they are good. Having no career has definitely saved my marriage in the past. There have been times where I would have gone to a bar or went wild or any number of things but I had no money nor independence to do any of those things. My husband won’t let me go out or anything. I’ve asked him before if he would take me to a bar sometime as I’ve never been (I married before I was even old enough to go to a bar or even drink) but he keeps saying no that it’s no place for me. If men controlled women and women stayed home then there wouldn’t be all the divorce, custody battles, real and false rape accusations, etc… If men would have kept women in their place to began with none of this BS going on today would even be happening nor would either men nor women be victims of the other sex.

It’s comments like these that prove how dysfunctional the men’s rights movement is. You can’t reason with such mentality even if you’re the most rational person on Earth. They’re just determined to believe whatever they will. No point even engaging with them. In their world 2+2=5. So clouded by their hatred for women, it’s pathological. I see no hope for their kind. Feminists have indeed created a monster but even feminists aren’t that bad. I wonder what guys like Paul would say if they had a daughter who was raped, but then I remember that they’re too repugnant to ever get a woman in order to be able to have a daughter to begin with. So they’ll never understand.
